It reads QR codes from image files only (no live camera) and returns the first QR code it finds; regular barcodes are not supported. Blurry, very small or strongly tilted codes may not be found.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser: your files are never uploaded to a server, and there is no sign-up.
Frequently asked questions
How do I read a QR code from a screenshot?
Take the screenshot, open this page and press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac). The image is read straight away.
Can I see the WiFi password in a QR code?
Yes. For a WiFi QR code the network name, password and security type are listed separately, each with its own copy button.
Can it use my camera?
No, it works with images. On a phone you can take a photo of the code and choose that photo.
Why is no QR code found?
The image may be too blurry, too small or taken at an angle. Try a sharper, larger or straighter image, or crop closer to the code.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is decoded in your browser and never leaves your device.
