How to use Barcode Generator
- Choose a Barcode type, such as EAN-13 or Code 128.
- Type the Value, or switch to Many at once and enter one value per line.
- Adjust bar width, height, margin, colors and whether the value is shown under the bars.
- Download PNG or SVG, or download them all as a ZIP.
Supported formats
In: a value for Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF-14, Code 39, Code 93, ITF (2 of 5), Codabar, MSI Plessey or Pharmacode. Out: SVG, or PNG at 3× the preview size; many barcodes come as one ZIP.
Limits
Each type only accepts certain lengths and characters, and invalid values are flagged instead of drawn. It makes linear barcodes only, not QR codes, and the numbers themselves (for example GS1 company prefixes) must be your own.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser: your files are never uploaded to a server, and there is no sign-up.
Frequently asked questions
Does it calculate the EAN-13 check digit?
Yes. Type 12 digits and the 13th is added; type all 13 and it tells you if the last digit is wrong and what it should be. The same works for EAN-8, UPC-A and ITF-14.
Which barcode type should I use?
EAN-13 (or UPC-A in North America) for retail products, ITF-14 for cartons, and Code 128 for internal labels with letters and numbers.
Can I create many barcodes at once?
Yes. Choose Many at once, paste one value per line, and download all valid ones as PNG or SVG files in a ZIP.
Will a colored barcode scan?
Scanners need dark bars on a light background. Keep strong contrast and avoid red bars, which many scanners cannot see.
Is my data private?
Yes. Barcodes are drawn in your browser and nothing you type is sent to a server.
